FriendsFriends are usually not in competition with you, but if they are know that they see more to life than inter-competition in the office. Friendship is dialogue, philosophy, humour and sadness, not to be wasted with idiots. In the workplace there are several types of friends: those you entertain and in who entertain you through personal anecdotes, sex life, substance abuse, narcissistic traits. Then there are friends that are ‘neutral’; your range of conversation topics is safe, because you don’t truly click with them, and as humans are social critters, we feel compelled to chat. All types of friends can betray you except one: the friend that is on par with your emotional stance towards the office. The emotional bond you consequently have with them creates an alliance, and providing competition doesn’t intervene, you can trust them. This is the type of valuable friend who stabs you in the front, not the back. Friendship multiplies the good of life and divides the evil - Baltasar Gracian
