You and the MachinePeople choose industries and vice-versa. What you chose, you probably did so based on what was there at the time to burn itself onto your once impressionable little mind. Inevitably you realise what type of cog you are and which way you rotate in the machine. If it wasn’t for your acquired industry-specific experience, and hence knowledge, you could fit into any machine, and most probably can.
There is really very little diversity of roles in the office, regardless of the superfluous titles and duties. Therefore there are universal rules and values that can be applied across the board.
If you haven’t already, choose an industry based on what excites you for perverse reasons. If you’re in an industry, bored or burning out but need to stay put, get excited about changing what you are into something more valuable and become part of the Deal. Previous Next
